Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Shortcut Maker mobile application ("the App" or "the Service"), provided by Frandro ("we", "us", "our"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
1. The Service
The App is a home screen shortcut creation tool. It lets you create shortcuts to apps, app activities, files, folders, Android system settings pages, and websites, and pin them to your home screen for one-tap access. The App creates launcher shortcuts that open existing apps, screens, and content on your device; it does not modify other apps or your device settings on its own behalf.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country) to use the App. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.
3. License
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use the App on a device that you own or control, solely for your personal, non-commercial use. You may not:
- Copy, modify, distribute, sell, sublicense, or lease any part of the App;
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code, except as permitted by law;
- Remove or alter any proprietary notices or labels;
- Use the App in any manner that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair our services or those of our third-party providers;
- Use the App to violate any applicable law or regulation, or to infringe the rights of others.
4. Shortcuts and Device Behavior — Important Warning
The availability and behavior of individual shortcuts depend on your device manufacturer, launcher, Android version, and the target app's own design and restrictions. Some activities, settings pages, or content types may be unavailable, restricted, or behave differently on your device, and shortcuts may stop working when the target app is updated or uninstalled. Requests to uninstall an app are always confirmed by the Android system dialog.
5. Permissions
The App requests permissions only for its shortcut-creation features: visibility of installed apps to create app and activity shortcuts, the ability to request app uninstallation from the app information screen, and, on Android 13 and above, the notification permission so that informational or update messages can be shown. You can review or revoke permissions at any time in your device's system settings; doing so only disables the corresponding feature and does not affect the rest of the App.
6. Purchases and In-App Purchases
Some features of the App, and the removal of ads, are available only through a paid premium purchase. Premium purchases may be offered as an auto-renewing subscription and/or a one-time purchase, and are processed by Google Play Billing and managed through RevenueCat.
- Billing: Fees are charged to your Google account at confirmation of purchase and, for subscriptions, at the start of each renewal period, at the price displayed in the App at the time of purchase.
- Auto-renewal (subscriptions): Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your Google Play account settings.
- Free trials and promotions: If a free trial or promotional period is offered, any unused portion is forfeited when you purchase, unless required otherwise by law.
- Refunds: Refunds are governed by Google Play's refund policy and any non-waivable rights you may have under your local law. We generally cannot issue refunds directly; please contact Google Play support for refund requests.
- Restore purchases: If you reinstall the App or change devices, you can use the "Restore Purchases" function to reactivate a purchase tied to your Google account.
- Price changes: We may change prices from time to time. Where required by law, we will give you advance notice and the opportunity to cancel before the new price takes effect.
7. Advertising
The free version of the App is supported by advertising delivered by Google AdMob, which may include banner, native, interstitial, and app-open ad formats. Ad selection may use device identifiers and information about your device and the App. Purchasing the premium upgrade removes ads from the App.
8. Third-Party Services
The App integrates third-party services, including Google Play Services, Google AdMob, the Google User Messaging Platform (consent), Google Analytics for Firebase, Firebase Crashlytics, Firebase Cloud Messaging, Google Play Billing, and RevenueCat. Your use of those services is also governed by the applicable third-party terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services and do not control their content, policies, or practices.
9. User Conduct
You agree not to use the App to:
- Engage in any unlawful, harmful, fraudulent, or harassing activity;
- Create shortcuts for the purpose of circumventing security, parental, or enterprise restrictions configured on a device;
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the App or its related systems;
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the App;
- Distribute viruses, malware, or any other malicious code through or in connection with the App.
10. Intellectual Property
The App and all related content, including but not limited to source code, designs, graphics, icons, text, and trademarks, are the property of Frandro or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. App names and icons displayed in the App belong to their respective owners and are shown solely to identify shortcut targets. "Android" is a trademark of Google LLC; the App is an independent third-party utility and is not endorsed by or affiliated with Google. Except for the limited license granted in Section 3, no rights are granted to you.
11. Updates and Availability
We may release updates, bug fixes, or new versions of the App from time to time. Because the App depends on the apps, launchers, and Android system pages present on your device, the set of working shortcut types may change with new versions of Android or of the target apps. We may also modify or discontinue the App or any feature, in whole or in part, at any time, with or without notice. We are not liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the App.
12. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS, OR THAT EVERY SHORTCUT WILL BE CREATED OR WILL OPEN SUCCESSFULLY ON EVERY DEVICE, LAUNCHER, OR ANDROID VERSION.
13. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL FRANDRO, ITS AFFILIATES, OR ITS LICENSORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR REVENUES, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE APP, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE APP WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE, OR (B) USD 10.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
14. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Frandro and its affiliates from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to your use of the App, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.
15. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms. You may terminate these Terms at any time by uninstalling the App. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and dispute resolution) will survive.
16. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, without regard to its conflict of laws rules, except where mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence apply. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of the Republic of Korea, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
17. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Effective date" at the top of this page and, where appropriate, provide additional notice through the App. Your continued use of the App after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
